November 18, 2014: SunTrust from Western Loudoun County braved the frigid digits helping one of our Leesburg Care Receivers prepare for winter.

November 2014: Project Quilt Drive….Carly Mul organized volunteers throughout the nation to make homemade quilts for our LVC Care Receivers who have or are receiving cancer treatment. Carly delivered the quilts to the LVC staff on Tuesday, June 24. Quilts were delivered to our LVC Care Receivers in November by our Youth volunteers. Read more about the quilt drive.

September 20, 2014: LVC hosted a Care Receivers Quality of Life Picnic at Algonkian Park. More than 32 Care Receivers attended and enjoyed the picnic style food, bingo and raffles. “I am so grateful for what all you do in helping me with my transportation needs,” said one Care Receiver named Theresa. “I don’t know what I would have done if LVC wasn’t around to help me.”  LVC thanks all of our Volunteers and the Loudoun County Sponsors for making this event possible: Echo Transportation, Costco, Wegmans, Giant (Purcellville & Leesburg), Red, Hot & Blue, Chantal’s Bakery, Deli South, and Sheetz!

 

September 20, 2014: Volunteers from the Ashburn Rotary Club held a day of service for one of our Care Receiver’s home in Purcellville. The volunteers mowed the grass, cleaned out gutters of debris, weed wacked/trimmed grass around house, bushes, etc., removed and stored the window AC units, and stained/painted the back wood stairwell and railing to match the house/deck! Thank you to all the volunteers for your hard work!!

June 6, 2014: Long and Foster, Ashburn spent several hours power washing the house and deck, trimmed bushes, tilling the vegetable garden, and loaded four truckloads of lumber and branches to be recycled for a LVC Receiver in Round Hill, VA.

May 22, 2014:  LVC held it’s annual fundraiser at Tarara Winery. Besides over 60 AMAZING Silent Auction items at our Tarara event, we also had a LIVE auction – to include a GOURMET dinner prepared by Loudoun Volunteer Caregivers’ Executive Director Susan, and a private 1 hour concert by ANDREW MCKNIGHT!! Dinner, drinks, and fun were shared by all who attended this great fundraiser! 

May 10, 2014:  Rain and thunder didn’t stop the LVC – Tim Duggan Day of Service. Volunteers from LVC joined Tim Duggan and his family to mow, trim bushes, clean out flower beds, spread mulch and gravel, and complete a variety of household chores for a local Hamilton LVC Receiver.
